Workshop: “THE TEN SKILLS of the SERVICE SUPERHERO”

Presented by our conference Keynote Speaker Louie Grievance (no extra charge)

Aimed at leaders and managers tasked with modeling and inspiring service excellence, participants come away with a training template for sharing what they’ve learned. Explore the delivery of “magical” service moments on a consistent basis through the use of ten basic skills. Serving with INTENTION, and serving with VISION, are just two of the skills covered in this deep-dive into the practical application of the Disney service principles. The workshop is the perfect foundation for our conference keynote, “SERVICE is a SUPERPOWER!”

Participants will:

  • Learn ways of identifying the narrative of your business
  • Create an intention statement aimed at supporting the goals of your event
  • Isolate keywords that ground your customers’ experience
  • Learn a fun exercise they can implement with their staff called Good Show/Bad Show
  • Create an action plan for performance improvement
  • Laugh a lot

POST-CONFERENCE OPTION ON JUNE 6, 2020

Valencia College (West Campus) Immersive Experience

(Max. 50 people; additional $25 fee)

This excursion will showcase Valencia College’s newest campus built in partnership with the University of Central Florida. The Valencia College Downtown Campus, a shared campus with UCF, opened in Fall 2019, serves the Orlando downtown community and is focused on improving lives through the power of education. Home to the Walt Disney World® Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality, the downtown campus fulfills the need for hospitality and culinary workers in an industry expected to grow 10.8 percent in Central Florida through 2023. The unique opportunities for Valencia and UCF students to earn degrees that will have a direct economic impact in our region, meet industry needs, and serve the community are just a small part of the many programs offered at the heart of Orlando’s evolving Creative Village. You’ll have an opportunity to learn from award-winning faculty and staff, experience academic programs hands-on, and see the newest urban campus in our region, including student housing. Guests will experience the latest in urban design and innovation, participate in demonstrations and immersive experiences that showcase academic programs, and learn how a partnership between two institutions became a reality and an integral part of Orlando’s future in training and community development.
